OPTIMA RECRUITMENT EUROPE is searching for suitable doctors to work as Paediatrists for our client - district hospital located in the North of England. It has 400 beds and provides a complete inpatient and outpatient healthcare service.
Acute Paediatric Services is located within hospital and includes an 12 bedded inpatient ward, a new dedicated Children´s Emergency care department with 5 treatment / assessment rooms, 2 bay resuscitation facility and a small observation unit. There is an 8 cot Special Care Baby Unit plus 1 high dependency/short-term intensive care cot adjacent to the children´s inpatient ward. There are close links with our Tier 3 CAMH Service, which is also based on the hospital site.
Inpatient Ward - the inpatient ward has 18 beds in with a mixture of bays and single cubicles. The majority of admissions to the ward are non-elective including small amount of orthopaedic and general surgical activity.
Outpatient Services - these are located adjacent to the children´s inpatient ward with a small number of clinics provided off site at different hospital.
Day Assessment Unit - this is used for none elective pre-admission assessment, short-term observations and day case procedures and investigations. It has 8 beds which includes 4 cubicles.
Your main general duties:
- Providing a service to the inpatients and outpatients as required to meet service needs.
- Attending Outpatients Clinics as scheduled.
- Attending Community Clinics as scheduled.
- Participate in seminars and teaching sessions as directed.
We require:
- EU specialty diploma in Paediatry + relevant demonstrable experience
- GMC registration
- fluency in english language
- availability to start working asap

The postholder is expected to undertake a work commitment of no more than an average of 48 hours per week, and PAs for predictable emergency work will be incorporated into your job plan.
