Sector Information
*The creation of Industrial Engineering aims to increase product and process robustness in the comapny, with a strong support to the NPI projects (where IE takes the responsibility for the operations), the technical management of suppliers, and with the management of industrial competencies and structural issue solution. IE shall drive 2 key processes:
- Co-design reliability, availability, manufacturability and serviceability into our products, by better linking D&E and programs with operations and suppliers
- Drive the knowledge loop across Sectors based on Structural Issue Resolution and lessons learned.
Position in the Organization
*The department IE-DfA (Design for Availability) is split in four groups:
1. Reliability 2. Diagnostics 3. Setup & Recovery 4. Availability
*The System Engineer Availability and Cost of Ownership (CoO) will be a member of the latter group reports to the groupleader DfA Availability.
*He has internal interfaces with marketing & technology, D&E, TE System Engineering, M&P, SC, CS, Sales and external interfaces with suppliers and customers.
Job Description
*Define and validate balanced system designs with respect to Availability and Cost of Ownership More in detail:
*Analyze key drivers and customer benefits on these aspects
*Decompose and map functionality of the system, related to Availability and CoO, onto its components
*Distribute Availability and CoO requirements of the system over its components
*Analyze impact of changes to the system on these aspects
*Manage requirements and concept of the system in the Product Generation Process (definition, realization and validation)
*Create and maintain a roadmap for key drivers related to Availability and CoO of the lithographic tool
*Analyze and report on field performance with respect to Availability and CoO and identify improvements to meet the targets
*Understand the applications and serviceability of the lithographic tools at the customers.
Educational Level
*Bachelor or Master Degree in technical area
Experience
*At least 5 years relevant experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment.
