COATING PRODUCTION LEADER
JOB PURPOSE: To plan and lead the operation of Coating Department in order to meet the requirements and to ensure that all customer orders are processed within the required time. This must be carried out whilst also providing a satisfactory service to maintain maximum customer satisfaction and remaining within budget.
MAIN TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that the department is manned to the correct levels with the correct skills to ensure good customer services.
With the help of the Product Specialist colleague monitor and control department quality performance to ensure that the correct acceptance standards are met.
Assist in the monitoring and controlling of the department costs to ensure that they are kept within the agreed budget.
Lead and motivate the team to enable the most efficient use of skills.
To carry out all work in line with the company quality procedures.
Report any errors to the Manufacturing Manager.
Observe Health and Safety rules for operating equipment and moving around the workplace.
GENERATION OF WORK:
The work is generated by jobholder in liaison with the Manufacturing Manager.
Purchase orders raised automatically by the computer system.
KEY EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience of managing or working in a high volume operation.
Management skills to assist in the effective and efficient leadership of the department.
Good organisational skills to allow the implementation and running of the systems necessary to allow the efficient operation of the department.
Knowledge of industrial based quality procedures and process control systems
